Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") apply to your use of the VideoSupporterSoft product portal (the "Site"), operated by VideoSupporterSoft ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Purpose of the Site

The Site provides information about VideoSupporterSoft products, documentation, release information, download links, and support resources. The Site does not provide user accounts, payment processing, license issuance, or a browser-based software service in its initial release.

2. Product Downloads and Purchases

Products may be offered through Microsoft Store or another identified official distribution channel. Any download, purchase, installation, update, refund, billing, or store-account matter is also subject to the terms and policies of the applicable distribution provider.

Product descriptions, system requirements, versions, prices, availability, and store listings may change. If information on the Site differs from the current official store listing, verify the current listing before downloading or purchasing. We do not infer or guarantee product information that has not been confirmed.

3. Product Licenses and Separate Policies

These Terms govern the Site. They do not replace any license terms, privacy policy, notices, or documentation supplied with an individual application. Your use of an application is governed by the terms applicable to that application and the distribution channel through which you obtained it.

4. Acceptable Use

You may use the Site for lawful purposes related to evaluating, obtaining, operating, and receiving support for VideoSupporterSoft products.

You must not:

  • interfere with or disrupt the Site, its hosting platform, security controls, analytics, contact form, or connected services;
  • bypass or attempt to defeat Turnstile, rate limits, access controls, or other abuse-prevention measures;
  • submit malicious code, automated spam, fraudulent inquiries, unlawful content, or content that infringes another person's rights;
  • probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without prior written authorization;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation or authority;
  • use Site content, names, or product materials in a way that falsely implies endorsement, ownership, or an official relationship; or
  • use a VideoSupporterSoft product to access, transmit, record, relay, or monitor content or systems without the permissions required by law and by the owners of those systems or content.

5. Network and Media Responsibilities

Some products send, receive, preview, record, test, or relay SRT and MPEG-TS streams. You are responsible for:

  • choosing the addresses, ports, credentials, encryption settings, files, devices, and destinations you configure;
  • obtaining permission to capture, transmit, receive, record, monitor, or relay video, audio, network traffic, and related data;
  • complying with privacy, copyright, communications, export, and other applicable laws;
  • securing your networks, devices, recordings, passphrases, and configuration files; and
  • testing suitability and redundancy before relying on a product in production or safety-critical workflows.

Do not expose listeners, management ports, recordings, or unencrypted streams to untrusted networks without appropriate safeguards.

6. Documentation and Informational Content

We aim to keep the Site accurate and useful, but documentation and product information may contain errors, omissions, or outdated details. Examples, diagrams, commands, addresses, ports, and configuration values are illustrative unless expressly stated otherwise. Review them before use and adapt them to your environment.

7. Intellectual Property

The Site's original text, visual design, product names, images, icons, documentation, and other materials are owned by VideoSupporterSoft or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may view and use the Site for its intended informational and support purposes. Except where a separate license expressly permits it, you may not reproduce, republish, sell, sublicense, remove ownership notices from, or create misleading derivative versions of Site materials without prior written permission.

Third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Reference to a third-party product or service does not imply sponsorship or endorsement.

8. External Links and Services

The Site may link to Microsoft Store, GitHub, Cloudflare, Google, Twilio SendGrid, or other external services. We do not control external services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, terms, or privacy practices. Accessing an external service is at your discretion and subject to that service's terms.

9. Support and Contact Form

You may submit an inquiry without creating an account. We may decline or stop responding to spam, abusive messages, requests unrelated to our products, or requests that would require unlawful or unsafe action. Submitting an inquiry does not create a service-level agreement, confidential relationship, fiduciary relationship, or guarantee of a response by a particular time.

Do not submit secrets or unnecessary sensitive information. Contact-form information is handled under our Privacy Policy.

10. Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site, documentation, support channel, product listing, or linked resource. We may also correct errors and update these Terms. The revised Terms will be published with a new effective date in UTC. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all express and implied warranties relating to the Site, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded. Separate warranty or licensing terms may apply to an individual product or a Microsoft Store transaction.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VideoSupporterSoft will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, revenue, data, recordings, streams, business, or goodwill; service interruption; network failure; or unauthorized access arising from or related to the Site, external links, documentation, or your configuration or use of a product.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the minimum amount and scope permitted by applicable law. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.

13. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person's rights. This section does not apply where such responsibility cannot legally be imposed.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise, disputes relating to the Site or these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan having jurisdiction over VideoSupporterSoft. Mandatory rights and jurisdiction rules available to consumers under applicable law remain unaffected.

15. Severability and No Waiver

If any part of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining parts will remain effective to the extent possible. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
